Know someone who deserves to be recognised for the work they do in the community?

The Telford Community Pride Awards 2018 is open for nominations to celebrate the truly remarkable people, groups and businesses who make the borough a better place.

The idea of the awards is to recognise and celebrate all those who make a difference in the borough, with entries being sought in a variety of categories.

Award categories are:

  • Best Environmental Champions
  • Best School Environmental Project
  • Sporting Achievement Award
  • Inspirational healthy Lifestyle Award
  • Best Community Support Group/Individual
  • Social Responsibility Champions
  • Outstanding Educational Achievement
  • Outstanding Volunteer (3 awards for groups, under 18s and adults)
  • Unsung Hero
  • Good Neighbours Award

Make your nominations here:

Nominations can be for an individual, group or organisation who has helped or supported you or someone you know, or who has organised an activity or event that has brought the community together. They could be a friend, neighbour, work colleague, community group, voluntary group, small business or big business – as long as they are people, projects, events or businesses based in Telford and Wrekin.

The awards are hosted as part of Telford’s 50th birthday celebrations and Pride in Our Community work. The awards evening will be held at the Telford International Centre on 29 November 2018 – 50 years from the day that Telford was created.

Nominations close on 21 September and will then be shortlisted by a panel of judges at the end of summer before going forward to the finals.
