Fresh appeal over death of man hit by car on A4169 near Ironbridge

Police have renewed their appeal after a man was killed when he was hit by a car near Ironbridge.

The man in his 30s died from fatal head injuries after incident on the A4169 between Buildwas and Much Wenlock, close to Farley.

Police and ambulance services were called to the scene at about around 6.15pm on December 22.

The man is reported to have left a grey Peugeot estate before he was hit by a blue Ford C-Max estate travelling towards Buildwas.

He was confirmed dead at the scene

Previous police appeals have identified further witnesses who have now been spoken to, and investigating officers are keen to speak with the driver of a black, Hackney carriage-style taxi that is believed to have been in the area at the time.

The driver may have important information that could help establish what happened in the moments before the collision.

Anyone who saw the collision or might have any information in relation to it should call West Mercia Police on 101 referencing incident 659s of December 22 2017.
