New attractions for Telford Town Park this summer

Telford Town Park has just got even better! Two brand new attractions are set to open for visitors this month, just in time for the summer holidays.

Sky Reach, the newly improved high rope adventure course, and a brand new Disc Golf course have just been added to the ever-growing list of activities available at the town park from this summer.

Telford Town Park is a top attraction in Telford which is loved by both visitors and residents. Its existing features include multiple children’s play areas, water play, picnic areas and adventure golf making it a great place for children this summer.

The newly improved high rope adventure course, Sky Reach opens from Saturday 21 July and includes a lower and higher tree top obstacle course, a quick jump descender and a climbing tower.

The adventure course is great fun for both adults and young people who are looking to take on a new challenge this summer, or for those just looking for a fun day out. The minimum height requirement is 1.3 meters and prices start from £12.50.

The park also welcomes a brand new attraction, Disc Golf which opens from Monday 16 July.

Disc Golf has a similar concept to a regular game of golf. Players use a Frisbee disc to target specifically designed baskets, with the aim of getting it in with as few throws as possible. It is low impact, easy to play and fun, making it a great activity for all of the family to get involved with. Prices start from £5 for an adult or £15 for a family of four.

Both Sky Reach and Disc Golf will be open at Telford Carnival this coming weekend with special offer prices.

Council Leader, Councillor Shaun Davies said, "Telford Town Park is renowned by residents and visitors for its beautiful spaces and abundance of outdoor activities. The facilities are loved by everyone who visits and we are very excited to launch these new activities this summer to encourage people get outside and try something new.”

The newly developed Southwater Square with it’s water feature, interactive art and atmospheric lighting is space for the public to sit back and relax.

Follow the Town Park Facebook page to be kept up to date about opening dates.
